This new track was inspired by a suicide committed by a person who was once in close vicinity to me. Although I did not know her personally, I could relate to the tremendous amount of pain she definitely had to endure that led to her demise. This is because I had at one point experienced that level of pain in my own life, & I can’t say that that same escape had not crossed my mind. Ocean Jewels is an allegorical chronicle of that emotional journey for me, why I was put through the darkness, & what lied at the end of tunnel.
